It’s Tuesday!!! Yay! I didn’t post anything last Tuesday because it was Halloween and I wanted everyone to focus on time with family and friends. I hope it was delicious for everyone!
So I’ve been digging through my books looking at tea recipes to prepare for now that the weather has finally taken a bite here in the Midsouth. It’s been wet and much cooler. In my head I have thought about nothing but what herbs do we need in the house for our preferred teas to get us thru the winter. I stumbled upon a new recipe in a new book of mine. Seems just divine! I can’t wait to try it and there are some things in it that I’ve never tried so I’m even more curious!
- 3 parts tulsi
- 2 parts mint
- 1 part eleuthero (Siberian ginseng)
- 1 part gotu kola
- 1 part rosemary
- 1 part cardamom
- 1 part cinnamon
Pour 1.5 cups hot water over 1 tablespoon tea. Steep for 5 to 10 minutes.
Now, as I read the information provided with the recipe I really felt the need to try it ASAP! But as I read the ingredients I couldn’t help but think about how warming this tea sounds! It’ll be great for the colder months. Many think that drinking spicy teas actually helps combat viruses that are common in fall and winter. That’s why people drink Fire Cider in the winter. The herbs included just seem like they’ll lift your mood, help you fight the icky winter crud, and maybe even put a little pep in your step!
